Royal could be on his travels Ado McGuinness is eyeing targets in the Middle East for Pierre Royal after his win in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket on Saturday. The Kingman gelding led at the line to spring a 33/1 shock in the £200,000 contest for the Lusk handler and jockey Mikey Sheehy. It was the four-year-old's second big pot since joining McGuinness, as he had also won a €100,000 contest on Irish Derby Day at the Curragh in late June.  "We might travel, we have got a few things in there today - Dubai or Bahrain. We'll have a look at the costs and then see,” said McGuinness at Down Royal on Monday. "It was a brilliant ride. I told him (Sheehy) to take his time, and I didn't know if we were up as all the lads that own him were jumping on top of one another beside me! "I probably would have settled for second coming over, but it was brilliant."
