The Queen has a rare runner in Ireland on Sunday as Momentary, trained by Michael Bell, will run in her famous colours in feature Group 3 Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes at Gowran.

Two other English raiders, Sir Henry Cecil’s Andromeda Galaxy and John Dunlop’s Beatrix Auroure, will also take part in the 1m 1f contest.

The €70,000 contest is due off at 3.45pm and has attracted a cracking field of ten which also includes Dermot Weld's very useful filly Caponata and Alla Speranza, from the Jim Bolger stable, who won on Irish Champion Stakes day at Leopardstown last time.

Edward Scally, Manager of Gowran Park said: "We are delighted our biggest flat race has attracted such an exciting field including some notable raiders from across the water.

"There is a real royal twist to this race as the Queen has her first ever runner at Gowran in Momentary and music royalty is also represented as Abba legend Benny Anderson is sending his promising filly Beatrice Aurore trained by John Dunlop to post too.

Scally continued: "It's also great to see sponsors Lanwades Stud represented by highly rated filly Alla Speranza. Gowran has been very lucky with many famous faces attending this meeting include Rolling Stones Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Lily Allen and Jasmine Guinness.

"This year’s entries have us all so excited at the track and we are expecting a bumper crowd on Sunday".
