Rubens Still In Cup Picture Peter Paul Rubens could make a quick reappearance in the Vodafone Stewards´ Cup at Goodwood on Saturday after a solid effort at Newbury last weekend.Paul Cole´s four-year-old came home fourth behind New Seeker in the seven-furlong totesport International and may drop back in distance this weekend if continuing to please his trainer.'He doesn´t like choppy ground and on Saturday we were a little unlucky to be beaten to the rail by the winner,' said Cole.'Six furlongs is not really his trip but I´m tempted to consider Saturday´s race as he´s a big tough horse and has come out of Newbury extremely well. I need to talk to his owner Richard Green before making a decision.'Peter Paul Rubens was one of 98 horses to remain in the #100,000 race following the five-day declaration stage, with David Nicholls´ ante-post favourite Lafi standing his ground, along with stablemate Gift Horse. However, Corridor Creeper who beat Lafi yesterday afternoon, has been taken out of the race by Milton Bradley. For some of those who do not make the cut there is a consolation race, the Stewards´ Sprint Stakes, on Friday.?
