Rubi Light booked his place in the Red Mills Chase at Gowran on February 16 with a pleasing workout at the Curragh on Tuesday.

The Robbie Hennessy-trained eight-year-old will bid for a hat-trick in the Grade Two over two and a half miles after returning to somewhere near his best at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Rubi Light got to within two and a half lengths of Sizing Europe in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase to fuel ambitions of a tilt at the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

"Rubi Light will run in the Red Mills at Gowran," said County Meath-based Hennessy.

"He's won it the last two years so we are keen to make it third-time lucky.

"He worked very well at the Curragh on Tuesday and it's all systems go for Gowran.

"After that we'll look at the Ryanair."
