Ruby Walsh returns to race riding today when he partners Un De Sceaux in the Grade 2 Prix Leon Rambaud at Auteuil in France.

The Champion jockey, on the side-lines since injuring his shoulder in a fall from Abbyssial on Gold Cup day at Cheltenham, has told the irishracing.com Talking Horses team that he faces another spell out of the saddle this summer.

In conversation with fellow rider Slippers Madden, Walsh explained that because his shoulder has now dislocated three times he is at greater risk of it 'popping out' again and has pencilled in an early June date for corrective surgery.

The keyhole surgery will result in another lengthy spell on the side-lines for Walsh, somewhere between 8 and 12 weeks.

In an informative chat Walsh looks back on his Cheltenham successes and near misses while also discussing his chances at next week's Punchestown Festival.
