Ruby wins Scottish Champion Hurdle Sanctuaire (9/2 jfav), under a vintage Ruby Walsh ride, won the Isle Of Skye Blended Whisky Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr. Walsh rode the Paul Nicholls-trained runner with supreme confidence and he only let the horse stride on as he jumped the last flight. Runner-up Bygones Of Brid (14-1) and third home Overturn (13-2) held every chance appraoching the last but both prominent racers were made to look pedestrian by the winner. Mille Chief, Nearby and Hunterview were all well-held further back.
