Rummaging bids for Dundalk hat-trick Rummaging bids to chalk up a four-week hat-trick in the Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Handicap under the floodlights on Friday. The five-year-old is 13lb higher than he was when notching the first of his two recent successes at the County Louth course, but trainer Michael Halford is not without hope of a three-timer. "He's in very good form and the form of his last couple of races have worked out very well," he said. "It's just a question whether he can carry the penalties. He loves it around there but he got 9lb for his last win which is a fair steadier. He's been improving along and it's a case of seeing if the handicapper has him. Conor (Hoban) takes 3lb off with Shane (Foley) being suspended, which is a help." Toccata Blue has a 11lb pull for a neck beating by Rummaging in the first of those wins and his trainer Ger Lyons expects the three-year-old to put up his usual game performance. "He's exposed but he's honest and he tries his best. He usually finds one too good and might again but we'll see what happens and he's in good form," said Lyons. "He might be hard pressed to beat Rummaging who is a good solid sort. "He's been on the go a long time and this will probably be him finished for the year." A tight-knit handicap has attracted 11 runners including David Marnane's Seanie, Iron Major from Eddie Lynam's stable and Jane Foley's Fleet Captain, a winner over this seven furlongs two weeks ago.
