Russell looking forward to Leopardstown As part of Leopardstown Racecourse's 'Tales Of Christmas Past' series leading rider Davy Russell tells us how he is looking forward to riding at the Festival and in particular the opportunity to compete in some of the Grade 1 contests. There are seven Grade 1 races at Leopardstown over the four days of top class racing which takes places from 26th to 29th December. Prince Of Scars caused a minor shock when running away with the Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle at odds of 10/1 last year. The Gigginstown House Stud owned gelding has since embarked on a career over fences and despite not yet winning over the larger obstacles he should not be ignored if turning up for the three miles Novice Chase on the final day of this year's Christmas Festival at Leopardstown on Thursday 29th. The step up in trip will play to his strengths. Click Here to book tickets and hospitality
