Samcro heads Monksfield entry Samcro heads a possible four-strong team for Gordon Elliott in Sunday's Monksfield Novice Hurdle at Navan. The five-year-old won three times in bumper company last season and kicked off his hurdling career with a 15-length success at Punchestown last month. He is owned by Gigginstown House Stud, as are stablemates Poli Roi, Delta Work and Cracking Smart, all of whom have won over hurdles at least once this term, with the last-named striking at Listed level last time. The Henry de Bromhead-trained Creation is another possible for the Gigginstown team. Willie Mullins has entered only the Listed-placed Good Thyne Tara, while Joseph O'Brien's Shady Operator finished behind Cracking Smart on his hurdles bow and has since won at Cork. Just Janice was a Grade Three winner for John Kiely last time and could try to add another win at that level here, and Jessica Harrington's Jetz is another last-time-out scorer. Ballyluskey, Cosmo's Moon, Half The Odds, Jimmy Breekie and Turbojet complete the list of 14 possibles.
