Sandown to hold precautionary inspection Saturday's Tingle Creek meeting at Sandown is subject to a precautionary 7.30am inspection due to the threat of overnight rain. The going on the hurdles track is currently heavy, soft in places with soft going on the chase course. However, more overnight rain is forecast and clerk of the course Andrew Cooper felt it prudent to check. "We are clearly going to get some rain tonight so it is just to be safe," said Cooper. "We are forecast 10 millimetres and if we get that we should cope. If the forecast is correct we should be absolutely fine. "We are told we will get no more than 10 millimetres, but it is more likely to be in the 5-8 millimetre territory and we should be able to cope with that. "We are racing on soft today and it is purely a precautionary measure."
