Savill claims media rights collapse not a disaster British Horseracing Board chairman Peter Savill today hailed the imminent collapse of the Go Racing deal for racing`s media rights as 'unfortunate but not a disaster'.He believes the likely falling apart of the Stg£307million agreement reached with 49 of the country`s racecourses provides the opportunity for the whole industry to unite, pool all media rights and get the best deal for racing as a whole.Savill, speaking at the BHB annual general meeting in London, was unrepentant at the board`s failure to reach an agreement over the sale of pre-race information to the consortium which is set to scupper the deal negotiated with the Racecourse Association that had looked set to end the long-running media rights saga.
