Sceaux given Thurles entry Willie Mullins may take the wraps off his potentially exciting novice chaser Un De Sceaux at Thurles next Thursday. Unbeaten in nine career outings, including two French bumpers prior to joining Mullins, he progressed through the ranks last season before winning two nice prizes across the Channel. With an embarrassment of riches in his yard, Mullins has decided to send the six-year-old chasing and he could jump his first fences in public in the Killinan Beginners Chase. Un De Sceaux is a best priced 5-1 for the Arkle Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival next March where he disputes favouritism with his stablemate Vautour, who is set to start off over fences at Navan on Sunday. Also entered in the same contest are stablemates Inish Island and Tennis Cap and the Gordon Elliott-trained Clarcam. It could be a big day for Mullins as he may also unleash Allez Colombieres, already prominent in the betting for the Cheltenham novices' hurdles without ever having run for his new trainer, in the Cahir Maiden Hurdle. Mullins could saddle Clondaw Court, unbeaten in a bumper and in two runs over hurdles during an injury-plagued career, in the Rock Of Cashel Hurdle. The Mullins duo of Royal Caviar and Union Dues and Tony Martin's highly-regarded Golantilla are possible contenders for the Holycross Maiden Hurdle on what has the makings of an excellent card.
