The 6/4 favourite Loi Des Jeux ran out a comfortable winner of the second division Limerick's handicap hurdle over two miles, five furlongs.

A winner at Clonmel in May and runner-up at Listowel after a four-month break, J.J. Slevin's mount moved to the front travelling well entering the straight and went away to defeat Ardera Gun by four and a half lengths.

"He is a lovely horse, did it well and came on from his run in Listowel,” said Brian Hassett, son of winning trainer Donie Hassett.

“The step up in trip helped but when the ground goes soft, he could drop back to two miles. I think he will be better when he gets softer ground.

"Darragh (McDonagh, owner) will have fun with him and I wouldn't rule out going chasing this season."
