Trained by Colin Bowe for Leo McArdle, The Great Nudie (5/1) made all under Sean Flanagan in the 2m3f rated novice hurdle at Punchestown.

A winner at Tramore in November, the daughter of Walk In The Park jumped the second-last quickly and soon had a healthy break on her pursuers. Market leader Goraibhmaithagat was held when untidy at the last and the winner kept on well to account for that rival by seven lengths.

“She won her maiden on very testing ground in Tramore and the race worked out okay,” said Flanagan.

“I rode her here in a Listed race the last day and kind of covered her up a little bit, she’s a small little mare and didn’t like it.

“The ground conditions today really suited her.She jumped and travelled well, jumping is key to her. She’s not very big but she’s hardy.”
