Sedgefield's meeting on Saturday will be subject to an inspection tomorrow morning, it was announced today.

There was standing water on the course on Wednesday and more rain is forecast.

Clerk of the course James Hutchinson said: "I shall be looking at the course myself this afternoon but the stewards will be inspecting tomorrow at 7.30am.

"The going is soft, heavy in places and there is a 30% chance of rain today and tonight and a 60% chance tomorrow."
