SEE MORE BACK IN BUSINESS

See More Business returned to his best following a disappointing run in the King George VI Chase with a brilliant all-the-way victory in the Pillar Property Chase at Cheltenham today.

The 1999 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner put himself in line for another crack at chasing`s blue riband here in March by beating Beau a distance. Cyfor Malta was a distance further away last of the three finishers.

The only other runner, Lord Noelie, unseated Culloty at the seventh fence as See More Business set the pace.

The leader made the first of his two mistakes at the ditch at the top of the hill on the first circuit and was also untidy at the fourth last.

But he quickly recovered and soon pulled clear of his two rivals after the third last when asked for his effort by Fitzgerald, who was completing a double.

See More Business pinged the last two fences as he left Beau and the race-rusty Cyfor Malta in his wake.

A relieved trainer Paul Nicholls said: 'That was the way to ride himand the track suits him better than Kempton.

'Why he ran like he did at Kempton I`ll never know. I don`t think it was his jumping. He was never galloping there. He was very positive today and that puts him back in the picture again.

'It`s easy to write them off after one bad run but we felt before Kempton on Boxing Day he was as good as ever and today he`s proved it.'

Fitzgerald said: 'If he put in a faultless display every time there would be nothing to talk about. He just gives us something to think about.

'He just gets on with his job and he`s got endless stamina and keeps on galloping. He jumped well on the whole and he loves this ground.

See More Business is 4-1 from 7-1 with Ladbrokes to regain his Gold crown.

Lady Rebecca had the crowd cheering as she won the Byrne Bros Cleeve Hurdle for the third year in a row.

The nine-year-old mare came through on the bridle under Norman Williamson to pass Mister Banjo and strode clear on the run-in to score by six lengths.

Barton, the 2-1 joint favourite, folded most disappointingly to be the last to finish while the other joint favourite Youlneverwalkalone fell at the second flight.

Lady Rebecca was put back into training this season after a failed attempt last year to get her into foal.

Her trainer Venetia Williams was shaking with emotion after the race and said: 'It`s fantastic to see her win here again. But it`s been a stop-go preparation for the race.

'The ground was too soft for her so she couldn`t run at Ascot last month then the race here over the New Year we planned for her was abandoned.'

Williams had just returned from a five-day skiing break in France and she added: 'I didn`t fall over once on the ski slopes and I was rather hoping the horses wouldn`t make up for it.'

Lady Rebecca will now try to win her eighth race at Cheltenham when she tackles the Stayers` Hurdle at the Festival.

She is as short as 7-2 with Irish bookmakers Sean Graham but Coral offer agenerous-looking 8-1.

Barton`s poor performance has seen him pushed out to 20-1 for the Smurfit Champion Hurdle with Ladbrokes. Istabraq is now 2-5 with the same firm to win the race for a record-breaking fourth time.
