Seola strikes for O'Brien Seola justified favourtism in the ten furlong maiden at Dundalk, making it third time lucky. The Joseph O’Brien-trained filly had been runner-up here last month and went to post a 6/5 shot to go one better tonight. Dylan Browne McMonagle produced the Le Havre filly to challenge passing the two pole and asked her to hit the front over a furlong from home. She ran around a touch when popped the question but kept on well late on to secure a length-and-a-quarter victory over the front-runner Soaring Sun. Browne McMonagle said: "She was very solid. She has been running well, improving with each run. "She travelled around good today, she sharpened up plenty from the last day and once I gave her a squeeze at the furlong and a-half, she picked up the leader good and was a good winner going away at the line. "She is definitely more comfortable going up to this trip. As she sharpens up, she would have no bother going back to a mile. She's very versatile, but she is just learning on the job and she is getting better." (Quotes by Michael Graham)
