Seoul Force (11/4) scored on his all-weather debut today landing Dundalk’s opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden for trainer Jessica Harrington, owner Zhang Yuesheng and jockey Shane Foley.

The race had been won by subsequent Tattersalls Gold Cup-winner Whitebirch in 2022 and today, Seoul Force led for much of the seven furlongs. The 78-rated son of Wootton Bassett was challenged by What About Us entering the straight but battled well to eventually beat that rival into third place, and also held runner-up Watch Tower by a neck.

Foley said "he has been running in decent maidens and I didn't think we would be waiting until the end of November to win a maiden in Dundalk with him. That's him maybe put away for the year and he could develop into a nice, little horse next year.

"He's had a few little issues and that, so he got them ironed out and it is nice to win with him at two (years).

"I hadn't planned on making the running, but no-one wanted to go, so were getting it easy and did our own thing."
