Shammick slams Swap Shammick Boy, a 9,000 Euro foal at Tattersalls Ireland in November 2005 and by Denis Hickey's Garryrichard Stud stallion, Craigsteel, put up an impressive performance in the Jays/GG Birthday Novices' Hurdle at Taunton today. Andrew Glassonbury forced the issue on the 9/1 shot and he had the 4/7 favourite, Cambridgeshire hero Credit Swap in trouble in the straight. Victor Dartnall's winner galloped on strongly to score by ten lengths from Credit Swap with a four length gap back to Paul Nicholls' third-placed Bermuda Boy. Shammick Boy was twice placed in bumpers and he obviously came forward plenty for the change of tactics here. He looks like one that plenty more will be heard of.
