Shartash has National Stakes target Shartash is set to step up in trip for his next outing in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes at the Curragh next month. Johnny Murtagh's charge couldn't lay a glove on the brilliant Little Big Bear in the Phoenix Stakes at HQ last weekend but did stay on to grab third close home. The Aga Khan-owned son of Invincible Spirit had landed the Group 2 Railway Stakes on his previous outing and his four starts to date have come over six furlongs. Murtagh revealed that his charge is in good order after his latest run and is on course for Champions Weekend:- “Shartash is very well and came out of the race very well. The National Stakes is next for him.”
