She's Ideal completes double for McGuinness and Hardman She's Ideal (11/4) supplemented a recent success to give trainer Ado McGuinness and owner Paul Hardman a double on the day in the first division of the 1XBET IRISH SPIRIT handicap over the extended nine furlongs at Gowran Park. Recently claimed by connections for €5,000 from Paul Flynn after her first win in a claimer in Ballinrobe, the daughter of Belardo has quickly repaid connections. Pushed away from the stalls by Sam Coen to get that all-important lead, she was taken back after a furlong and sat in the box seat. Switched out around the home turn, the four-year-old filly quickened up to lead inside the final two furlongs, but she was headed just after passing the furlong marker. The ultra-game filly fought back under a strong drive to regain her advantage over 50 yards out and won going away by a length and a half from Perfect Judgment (11/1). Thompson Gunner was the same margin back in third at 14/1. "She came out of a claimer for five grand a couple of weeks ago. We done a few bits and pieces with her, but she is what she is. She had top weight, but the form was sort of solid with the other filly winning today. We claimed her in Ballinrobe after she beat my other filly (Minaun View). It's not too often you give five grand for one and they win so quick," commented McGuinness. "She'll probably go into something similar. I thought she was stuffed at the bottom, but she stuck it out well. She has plenty of ability. This time of the year with them fillies, when they come into themselves you never know what they'll do."
