SHIBBOLETH SIDESTEPS GUINEAS Shibboleth will not run in the Sagitta 2000 Guineas at Newmarket a week on Saturday, it was announced today. The colt was generally quoted at 10-1 fourth favourite for the race after winning a Newmarket maiden by five lengths on his debut last week. But in a statement to PA Sport, trainer Henry Cecil said: "Shibboleth has come out of his first race at Newmarket well but after discussing the 2000 Guineas with his owner Prince Khaled Abdulla it was decided that it was not in the horse's interest to go for the first Classic with such an inexperienced colt." Abdulla's colours will be carried by long-time leading fancy Distant Music, trained by Barry Hills, in the 2000 Guineas.
