Siege a Thyestes possible Siegemaster may be aimed at the Thyestes Chase at Gowran Park on January 21 following his fine effort at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival. Trainer Dessie Hughes was delighted with the horse's performance in finishing second to Oscar Time in the valuable Paddy Power Chase. "He had a rough passage in the race. They were tightly bunched and he got into a lot of trouble," said the Kildare handler. "He's a big-striding horse and didn't get the chance to use his jumping. Anyway, he ran a good race. The Thyestes is a possibility. The handicapper gave him another 6lb for that run. We'll see."
