Sinawann pleasing Halford ahead of Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas bid Sinawann is one of 11 colts that have been declared for tomorrow’s Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh. His trainer Michael Halford reports that Sinawann is in very good form. Said Halford: “We’re very happy, we’re excited to be running him obviously — our home racecourse in the Curragh. “The horse is in good form and he’s trained really well. We’re happy with him but it’s obviously a very good race. “Siskin looks the obvious one and is the justified favourite and whatever Aidan (O’Brien) decides to run, but we’re happy with our fella. “He had a good level of form as a two-year-old and we felt he was entitled to take his chance. “The Curragh is a stiff track and you’d want to get every yard of it. “Normally Aidan will have multiple runners in it and so he’ll probably have a strong gallop. That will certainly play into our lad’s hands.” Aga Khan hope Sinawann is a general 12/1 shot and the son of Kingman will be ridden by Ronan Whelan. The big one at the Curragh on Friday evening is due off at 6.40.
