Sir Isaac a Royal Ascot Jersey boy Aidan O'Brien looks set to keep one-time leading Derby contender Sir Isaac Newton to seven furlongs at Royal Ascot on Wednesday. Having skipped a possible engagement at Navan this weekend, the Galileo colt is poised for the Jersey Stakes at the big five-day meeting, although he also holds an engagement in the St James's Palace Stakes over a mile 24 hours earlier. O'Brien said: "It's very possible he'll go straight for the Jersey. You'd imagine that he'll get much further but he shows a lot of pace at home." Sir Isaac Newton had gone into winter quarters much fancied for Epsom having finished second to Zawraq at Leopardstown on his sole two-year-old outing. He reappeared in a maiden at Chester's May meeting but suffered a shock reverse at odds of 1-6, before getting his career back on track with a smooth success in a seven-furlong maiden at Gowran.
