Situation being monitored at Navan with more rain predicted

Ahead of their marquee two-day fixture this weekend, the going at Navan remains Soft to Heavy after 7mm of rain in the last 24 hours.

A Status Yellow rain warning is in place for the next 24 hours with the possibility of 15-20mm (approx) of rain and the situation is being monitored.

There will be fresh ground in use on the hurdle track on Sunday.

The November meeting at Cheltenham gets under way this afternoon and there will be plenty of Irish-trained runners taking part over the weekend with 31 runners from this side of the Irish Sea declared to run on the first two days of the fixture.

The ground at Prestbury Park is currently Good to Soft, Soft in places with a lot of rain forecast for today.
