Slaudeen to contest the Birdcatcher on Saturday Fresh from sending out yet another Group 1 winner last weekend, trainer Jessica Harrington is expecting a big run from Slaudeen in the Birdcatcher Nursery at Naas on Saturday. A winner on his handicap debut at Navan last month, the gelding ran well below par last time when failing to beat a single rival in a Listed contest at Fairyhouse. Harrington said: "He goes for the Birdcatcher at Naas on Saturday. "I think so (would have a chance) - I don't know what happened in Fairyhouse, he got in a terrible state there. He didn't show up.
