The Turf Club has announced that the fixture scheduled for Sligo on Tuesday, 16th August has been abandoned.

Sections of the Flat course were found to be unfit for racing due to damage sustained at the fixtures on the 3rd and 4th August.

A replacement fixture will now take place on the same day at Tipperary. This will be a mixed fixture with both Flat and National Hunt races.

In addition Horse Racing Ireland has announced that there will be an extra all Flat fixture at Sligo on Wednesday evening 7th September.

The Willie McCreery-trained Steel Magnolia (7/2 JF) was an easy winner of the Big EVS at Tally Ho Handicap by three and three-quarters of a length, giving her trainer and jockey Billy Lee a double on the day at Naas.
