Slippers to have operation on broken arm Niall Madden will be out of action for five weeks as he prepares to undergo an operation this afternoon for a broken arm sufffered at Kilbeggan yesterday evening. "Slippers" was deputising for the injured Paul Carberry on Carlesimo when his mount crashed out at the first fence of the Hackett's Bookmakers Handicap Chase. He was taken to Tullamore General Hospital where he was found to have suffered two fractures on his right arm.
