Royal Ascot winner Snellen continues her stay in Bahrain as the Gavin Cromwell-trained filly bids to add to her prizemoney haul, with a fourth run in the next month.

Winner of the 2023 Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot, the daughter of Expert Eye won twice on turf in Ireland last year, while also finishing second on Derby Weekend, and this winter has been sent to race in Dubai for owner Lindsay Laroche..

Snellen won a handicap at her regular race track Bahrain in December and continued her campaign in the Middle East when finishing fourth last week.

Trainer Cromwell reports “she was fourth in a Listed race last Friday night and was just a bit outclassed, but she’s picked up another ten grand.

“There is a Group 3 for her in about three weeks or maybe another handicap.”
