Soft ground ahead of weekend fixtures

Conditions look set to remain testing for racing next weekend in Ireland with showers forecast and the ground already soft.

Navan race on Saturday and the going is Soft. Showers are forecast in the area over the coming days.

The ground at Fairyhouse remains Soft ahead of Sunday's card and there is an unsettled forecast.

Sunday's meeting features three Grade 2 races including the Rathbarry Stud Novice Hurdle.

Cork also hold a Flat meeting on Sunday and the ground remains soft to heavy on the round course and heavy on the sprint track.

There was 1.5mm of rain overnight in Mallow and showers are forecast for the coming days.
