Today’s fourth day of the Festival features the Guinness Galway Hurdle at 6.45pm on an all jumps card, and the first of eight races gets under way at 4.45pm. Morning rain is due to clear with mostly dry weather due for the day. 3-4mm of rain is expected on Friday morning, with a dry afternoon, and then the weekend is set to be mainly dry with a risk of some light showers. Kilbeggan race on Saturday afternoon and, after 15mm of rain, the ground there is yielding, good to yielding in places. Rain is due to clear this morning with a dry day ahead, a chance of 2-3mm of rain tomorrow and mostly dry on race day with a risk of isolated showers. Ahead of their N.H. meeting on Sunday, Cork’s ground is now yielding, yielding to soft in places after 22mm of rain in the past 24 hours. It’s set to be mainly dry there today with a possibility of 4-5mm of rain on Friday.
