Ciaran Murphy is eyeing Limerick over Christmas for Soldante after he was placed in a couple of Galway bumpers in the autumn.

The Soldier Of Fortune four-year-old gelding held entries in a bumper on Naas' postponed card today and in a Listed bumper at Ascot tomorrow, but the trainer revealed a different plan.

"He's not going to travel (to Ascot), the ground is too quick and he's not going to go to Naas. We are going to wait for Limerick over Christmas - there's a nice bumper there and he loves soft ground," Murphy said.

"We think the world of him, we think he is a very nice horse going forward. He will probably stay in bumpers this season and then go over hurdles next year, that would be the plan."

In-form Murphy has saddled three recent winners on the Polytrack at Dundalk.
