Sole Power runs in the Greenlands Sole Power will have his first run on home soil since August 2011 in the Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday. Eddie Lynam's globetrotting star last ran in Ireland in the Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh when second to Amour Propre. He also had the option of the Temple Stakes at Haydock, a race he won in 2011, on the same day, but Irish fans will now get the chance to see one of their great performers. What also worked in the Curragh's favour is that regular rider Richard Hughes is in Ireland this weekend to ride Ivawood in the Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas. Lynam told the Irish Herald: "We want to run this weekend. "The ground at the Curragh is good to yielding and I am happy with that. (We're also) keen to run in Ireland after so long."
