Former point-to-point winner Sons Of Anarchy delivered his first racecourse victory in some style in the Albert Bartlett Triple Crown Handicap Hurdle to make it a treble for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy. Rakki ran well for am long way off the front but Sons Of Anarchy made stealthy headway in second and wore him down in jumping the last.

The 7/1 shot (from 11s) stretched right away on the run-in to hit the line seven and a-half lengths to the good over Rakki (9/2). Sticwiththeprocess the 5/2 favourite, came in third and was beaten 10 lengths by the winner.

Frank Berry, Racing Manager for JP McManus, said: “He was a bit disappointing, had a break, and has come back and did it well today.

“He jumped well and stayed on well. He finished well which he wasn’t doing earlier in the year.

“He’ll tip away and we’ll see how we go.”

Elliott and Kennedy were also on the mark with Santo Sospir (11/8f) and Dee Capo (12/1).
