Speaking Of Which may go Stateside Speaking Of Which could go to America in search of Group One glory after being denied a run in the Irish Derby. The Secretariat Stakes over a mile and a quarter at Arlington in August is being considered for the Dermot Weld-trained colt. An impressive winner of the Group Three Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh in May, the son of Invincible Spirit had been expected to bustle up Camelot in the Irish Derby. However, that plan was scrapped because of testing conditions at the Curragh. "He might go to Secretariat in Arlington next month over a mile and a quarter," said Stan Cosgrove, racing manager to owners Moyglare Stud. The Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh on July 22nd remains on the agenda for Moyglare's Princess Highway, who annihilated the opposition in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot. "She'll go for the Irish Oaks. She was very impressive in Ascot," said Cosgrove. Another talented filly under the Moyglare banner is the four-year-old Sapphire. She found a mile and a quarter on the short side when runner-up to Izzi Top in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh. Having previously been a convincing winner over a mile and a half on her previous two starts, a step back up in trip is on the cards for the daughter of Medicean. "She ran well behind Izzi Top but the mile and a quarter was too short for her," said Cosgrove. "I congratulated John Gosden after Izzi Top beat her and he said we should run her (Sapphire) back over further."
