Speedy Eclairage mains perfect Dundalk record A three-time winner from as many starts at the track last season, the Danny Murphy trained Eclairage made it four from four at Dundalk when running out an impressive winner of the opening Ladies Day At Dundalk Handicap. Smartly into stride under Shane Foley, the three-year-old had the majority of her rivals off the bridle by halfway. Coming centre to stands side entering the straight, the 10/1 chance was challenged by Little Queenie over a furlong out. However, the latter had no more to give from the furlong pole, as aided by the stands rail, Eclairage stayed on strongly to win by two-lengths. Topweight Valiant Force kept on best of the remainder to take second close home, with The Highway Rat back in third. Danny Murphy said: "Broke well and gone. This filly, believe it or not, I'm going to aim her up. She's an improving three-year-old. "She's a bullet and she's learning how to settle in front. "Around here she's a specialist, she's absolute dynamite. It is unbelievable - four from four. "Colin Keane said the other day that this mare is starting come now even on turf. "She always showed us plenty of boot from the gate, you win from the gates. My danger, I thought, was Little Queenie on the inside. Shane said he had to be out before her. He got to the front and did everything right. "She could go for the Group 3 Mercury (in Dundalk) that I have won the last two years." Additional reporting by Michael Graham.
