Spencer Back At The Double

Jamie Spencer made a successful return to the saddle at Wolverhampton when riding a double on his first day back at work since sharing the jockeys' championship with Seb Sanders.

Sanders himself had returned last weekend with a winner at Lingfield, so it was only right that Spencer followed suit.

The jockey was on Taken (4-6 favourite) for James Fanshawe in the Hotel & Conferencing At Wolverhampton Maiden Stakes and never had to get very serious to drive him out for a length success.

And he was not finished there as an hour later Spencer was on Fresh Mint for Mark Wallace and the 4-6 favourite made no mistake in the Book Tickets At wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Fillies' Handicap.

Only Wiseman's Diamond let down the champion by finishing third of four in the wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap.
