Just like his stable companion in the preceding contest, Scandinavia also made a successful return, as he beat six rivals in the Bar 1 Betting Vintage Crop Stakes.

Completing a treble on the day for Aidan O'Brien, who was winning this Listed heat for the fifth year in-a-row, the Justify entire was returned the 11/10 favourite.

Last seen winning the St Leger at Doncaster in September, the dual Group 1 winner raced mainly in fourth under Ryan Moore (completing a double).

Picking up when pushed along on the outer from the two-furlong pole and ridden to the front with 200 yards to go, he ultimately eased to a length-and-a-half win.

After attempting to make all, Dallas Star (33/1) was an admirable second under Donagh O'Connor, while Emit (5/1) was another three-quarters of a length away in third.

"Lovely, Ryan was delighted with him," O'Brien, who earlier won with Signora (at Limerick) and Charles Darwin reflected.

"He always went like a Cup horse and Ryan thought the same there, so delighted really.

"The Saval Beg (at Leopardstown) is the plan, that is what we are thinking.

"Looking forward to him."
