Stack's Soul makes winning debut under Heffernan The Fozzy Stack-trained newcomer Nola Soul made a winning debut under Seamie Heffernan in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Leopardstown. Sent off 15/2, the Craig Bernick-owned colt tracked the pace in mid-division before being produced to challenge market leader King Of Cloughan over a furlong out. Edging to the front with 100 yards to race, Nola Soul kept on nicely to prevail by three-quarters-of-a-length. Stack said: "He's a nice horse, we liked him. He was just about ready to start there today. He's a big horse. We'll only run him three or four times this year because he's a big horse that needs time. The further he goes, the better he'll go. Regarding the Chesham Stakes, he added: "We'll see how he sharpens up between now and then. It wouldn't be all about the Chesham."
