Star Appeal the plan for Eleven A Natalia Lupini's Eleven A is set to take his chance in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Star Appeal Stakes at Dundalk on Friday. An encouraging fourth on debut at Leopardstown in August, the Calyx stepped forward nicely to score on his second start at Down Royal. While a Champions Weekend plan was mooted after that Down Royal success, connections ultimately opted to scrap that plan. "We are planning on Dundalk for the Listed race on Friday if all things are good," assistant trainer and co-owner Craig Bryson said. "He's in good form at home and seven furlongs around there should be ideal for him. "We hope he is going to be progressive. "We didn't go (for Group 2 at Leopardstown over Irish Champions Festival), maybe in hindsight we could have taken a chance and gone but we thought it was the right thing to give him a little bit of time. We knew the seven furlongs at Dundalk was coming up. "He was very good under Ben (Coen at Down Royal), he travelled and quickened well. "He's obviously just a two-year-old, so we are hoping he can still keep stepping forward and that there is plenty more to come." Additional reporting by Michael Graham
