Helvic Dream provided Noel Meade with a memorable first Group 1 win on the Flat in this race 12 months ago and will seek a repeat victory with Colin Keane again in the saddle. Last season’s Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas hero Mac Swiney represents Jim Bolger, while the field is completed by the Aidan O'Brien-trained pair High Definition and Broome and Mick Halford's Bear Story. There are also eight declared for the Group 2 Lanwades Stud Stakes with Joseph O'Brien again holding a strong hand as the supplemented Twilight Spinner bids to follow up her impressive win here in the Coolmore Circus Maximus EBF Athasi Stakes. The Paddy Twomey-trained Pearls Galore is an obvious threat having won twice at Group 3 level last year and made a winning return in the Heritage Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown last month.
