Storm Eric batters rivals once again at Dundalk Course regular Storm Eric recorded his fourth win at Dundalk in the View Restaurant At Dundalk Apprentice Handicap.  A dual winner over seven furlongs, and also victorious here over a mile, the Estidhkaar gelding was stepping back up to the extended mile and a quarter trip and tracked the leaders under Adam Grant. Making steady headway in the straight, the seven-year-old led over a furlong out and just did enough to fend off the persistent challenge of Star Mind to score by a neck. The latter's rider, Danny O'Leary, was unseated just after the line, but thankfully was none the worse afterwards.  “He’s a tough horse. He turns up every week and tries his best,” said winning owner/trainer Jamie Flynn. “He’s been the bridesmaid most of the times he’s come here, and it’s great that he’s got his turn. “That’s four he’s won here and he’s been second about nine times. He wipes his face anyway. It’s great that he’s won and I’m delighted. “In three weeks' time, we’ll look for something else and see where we are. “We’ll keep him fresh and hopefully get another winter out of him up here.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
