Sun Goddess routs her rivals in the Moyglare Sun Goddess appears to be going from strength to strength and brought her career earnings to well over a million euro with a brilliant victory in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh. The daughter of Sioux Nation led well over a furlong out and soon asserted under Ryan Moore. The Aidan O’Brien-trained 4/7 favourite stayed on strongly to beat Green Empress by six and a half lengths with Dancing Destiny a further length and three-quarters back in third. O’Brien said, “She looks a freak. Everything she’s done has been freakish. “She went up to seven furlongs today in soft ground. Our other filly, we felt, wanted a mile. This filly we weren’t even sure would stay but there was only one place we were going to find out. “It’s a seriously important race. Ryan was very patient on her. “She’s a big powerful, strong, filly. She’s by Sioux Nation and it looks like Sioux Nations are really taking off. He was a sprinter himself, but it looks like they are going to stay as well which is very unusual.” On future targets he added, “Obviously the Cheveley Park is there in two weeks. She’s coming out of her races like she’s not having races. She has an awful lot of natural class. “She’s a very big filly and you’d imagine looking at her she should be a way better filly next year. She’s just natural really, very unusual.” Moore said, “She’s just kept on improving. She’s up to seven today on slower ground and it’s the most impressive she has been. “She relaxes and gets into a beautiful rhythm.
