Sunnyhillboy aiming to go one place better Last year's John Smith's Grand National runner-up, Sunnyhillboy, is on course to attempt to go one better. Sunnyhillboy had been due to have his prep race for the Aintree showpiece in the Cheltenham Gold Cup but he was ruled out on the morning of the big race following a bad scope. However, his problems are now behind him, with owner JP McManus' racing manager Frank Berry giving the 10 year old the all-clear to line up in Liverpool. He said: "Sunnyhillboy scoped clean recently so it's now all systems go for Aintree." The Jonjo O'Neill trained runner was only edged out by the minimum margin by Neptune Collonges 12 months ago and has been trained with the National in mind ever since. He reappeared over hurdles at Haydock, finishing a respectable fifth, before pulling up in testing conditions at Warwick. He is a 16/1 chance with Sky Bet who, on Wednesday, went non-runner, money back on the big race as well as paying to five places each-way.
