Swan Gets A Taste Of Newmarket

Keeneland Swan had his first taste of Newmarket today when schooling on the track ahead of his run in the Darley July Cup next Thursday.

The six-year-old Japanese sprinter got acquainted with the July course by covering the full six furlongs of the Group One sprint.

The Distant View entire is 40-1 to give Hideyuki Mori his second success in the July Cup after Agnes World in 2000.

The trainer also sent out Seeking The Dia to finish 12th last year.

Keeneland Swan will continue his preparation for the big race with a proper piece of work on Newmarket´s Side Hill gallop on Monday.

The seven-times winner was 10th on his first run in Europe in the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot at York, but that came just six days after his arrival in the UK.
