David Wachman's Mironica returns from almost a year off the track in the Dark Angel European Breeders Fund Sweet Mimosa Stakes at Naas on Wednesday.

The filly won on her debut at this venue before being highly tried at Ascot twice, in the Queen Mary at the Royal meeting, where she was a beaten favourite, and the Princess Margaret Stakes.

Wachman has decided to give her plenty of time this season and while there has been no injury, she will need to defy a 361-day break.

"She's in good order and although she hasn't run for nearly a year, she hasn't had any problems," said Wachman.

"We said we'd keep her for the second half of the season and we'll see how she gets on tomorrow."

Mick Halford runs Via Ballycroy, winner of two of her four races this season but taking a big step up in class after being a beaten favourite a Fairyhouse most recently where she met trouble in running.

As she is in foal to Cape Cross, any black type would be handy for connections.

"She has a bit to find on ratings and I'll be happy if she's placed. She had no luck in running the last day, so you can draw a line through that," said Halford.

Harry Rogers is praying for rain for his filly Allegra Tak, winner of two handicaps earlier in the season.

"The filly is very well but we'd be hoping for a bit of rain. If she gets an ease, she'll run very well. She's won three times at Naas and Pat (Smullen) gets on well with her," said Rogers.

There are two British raiders as Mick Channon sends over Miss Lahar, who will be ridden by Johnny Murtagh, while Rae Guest's in-form Minalisa will be ridden by Fran Berry.

Aidan O'Brien runs two, 1000 Guineas fifth Snow Queen and Hanky Panky.
