Tackletommywoowoo gave weight and a beating to his 13 rivals in Division 2 of the Fleadh Cheoil Wexford Handicap Hurdle over three miles in Wexford for father and son Declan Queally.

A wall of horses held chances on the run to the penultimate hurdle where Technology led narrowly, However, he and the others were soon put in their place as Tackletommywoowoo shot to the front approaching the last.

Once he cleared it, the 11/4 favourite put some seven and a-half lengths on runner-up Phildante (14/1). Fill The Tank (20/1) was half a length further back in third.

Jockey Queally said: "We had a few quid on him in Listowel and it went right there bar getting beaten by half-a-length. I panicked a little bit then and ran him back at Kilbeggan, but it was only 10-days later. I gave him a week in the field and it was patch-up job then and I thought he would get away with it.

"I just said to the boys after that to give me a chance and give him a week in the field and then get him a ready for a month. I picked out this race and, thankfully, he got into it and he is probably a little bit better going left-handed.

"He is a grand horse and there is a possibility that he might be entered for the Sunday at Galway, but again it's quick to be running back and it's not ideal."
