Take Stock completes treble for Cromwell Completing a treble for Gavin Cromwell, Take Stock (7/1) made the breakthrough in the feature at Bellewstown this afternoon, the Sean & Margaret McManus Memorial 110 Series Final Handicap Hurdle. The stable second string on jockey bookings, the Darren & Helen Martin-owned five-year-old raced in mid-division under Eoin Staples, taking closer order after three out. Ridden to challenge before the final flight and soon getting to the front, the Elusive Pimpernel bay extended his advantage on the run-in and ultimately came home two-and-a-half lengths to the good. Gordon Elliott's Dairy Force (9/2) filled the runner-up spot under Jack Kennedy, while Jaynemax (15/2) was a head back in third. Returned the 4/1 favourite, Galavanting George was the other Cromwell representative and he appeared held in seventh when falling at the last. "Yeah (more his trip) and maybe even further," Cromwell, who was earlier successful with Ole Ole and Fiver Friday, commented. "I'd say the little bit of nicer ground probably helped him as well. "He's a big, backward horse and has just taken a bit of time to come to hand, and hopefully he will make into a nice chaser. "He's had a busy season, so we will probably let him off now after this, I'd say. "Brilliant to get three, it is always nice to have a winner here." Additional reporting by Michael Graham
