Smart filly Moody, who was an extremely impressive winner of the Group 3 Fillies' and Mares' Meadow Court Stakes has been purchased by Bond Thoroughbreds Limited and will remain in training with Paddy Twomey.

Bond Thoroughbreds has enjoyed considerable expansion in 2026 with a growing number of horses with Twomey along with sponsorship of the yard.

Charlie Bond, Director of Bond Thoroughbreds Limited, said: "Bond Thoroughbreds are delighted to have purchased Moody. She is a hugely talented filly who has improved with each race for Paddy Twomey this year and has some very exciting entries for the remainder of the season.

"Paddy has been a huge addition to the Bond Thoroughbred team and our association has grown this year with our sponsorship of his yard and our very exciting team of current horses.

“Being by supersire Night Of Thunder, Moody makes a lot of sense for us with both our objectives to be competitive in top-level races but also in our ambition to support our promising young sire Maranoa Charlie following her racing career. Night Of Thunder sired the Oaks winner this season and he is making a bright start as a broodmare sire.

“Moody follows on from our purchase of Concorde Agreement earlier in the year with similar ambitions.

“Maranoa Charlie covered a huge book in year one, but my objective is to support him well beyond his first season and the acquisition of these Group-winning 10-furlong fillies highlights our belief in the sire to produce precocious two-year-olds in year one, but also Classic-type horses later in their careers.

“Maranoa was the highest-rated two-year-old in France but peaked at the end of his three-year-old career."

Trainer Paddy Twomey commented: "We're naturally delighted for Mel Sutcliffe, who has enjoyed a wonderful experience with his very first horse in training with us. To buy Moody for €125,000 and see her develop into a multiple stakes winner has been immensely satisfying for everyone involved."
